Meet Our Team


Gini Larsen, MA​

Director of Biblical Hope Counseling

Gini Larsen received her counseling certification from the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC, 2007) and she has been counseling women for more than eighteen years. In addition to her biblical counseling certification, her educational background also includes a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Arizona State University and a graduate certificate from The Institute at EVBC. She has an undergraduate degree in Special Education with an emphasis on learning and emotional disabilities. Gini currently works as an Adoption Specialist for Christian Family Care Agency. She has also been a frequent speaker at churches and organizations in Arizona since 1998. Gini is a regular speaker for Stonecroft Ministries and teaches Woman’s Bible studies for her home church and in the Phoenix area. Gini is married to Larry, a C.P.A. who specializes in non-profit corporations. The Larsen’s have been blessed with five children ages 20 -26 years old.

Steve currently serves as a member of the Pastoral team and as a board member of SonRise Faith Community Center Ministry. He is also the Chair/Co-founder of Fathers for Scholars, Inc. 
 
His professional passions include biblical teaching, mentoring and coaching, leadership development, strengthening families, specifically the role of the father and marriages, along with advocating for the welfare of children and youth. 

Professional background and experiences include:
  • State Director for a non-profit foster care agency
  • Youth mentoring services administrator
  • Residential treatment program counselor
  • Manager for at-risk adolescent boys program
  • Campus supervisor for a children’s residential treatment center
  • Community initiative project leader
  • Manager of volunteerism and state faith initiatives
  • Fathers & family advocacy

Life Goal: To assist couples in preparing for a lifelong marriage; to be an agent for healthy relationship, and provide people hope where there’s hopelessness.
 
Steve has been married for over 33 years and has 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren. 

Brenda Fuentes, MA

Counselor

Brenda Fuentes received her Master's of Counseling degree from Phoenix Seminary and her undergraduate degree from The University of Phoenix. She is a native of New Mexico and a business owner. Brenda loves being with her two adult children and grandchildren all of whom are in the Phoenix area.  She specializes in women's issues, relationship conflicts and loves encouraging women to grow in their love for Jesus Christ.  She is also the founder and CEO of a non-profit ministry in Kenya that assists orphans aging-out of  orphanages in their native Kenya.
